An icon of American musical heritage and craftsmanship, the Steinway & Sons 6’11” model B grand piano has been hand-built in New York for over a century. Considered a classic semi-concert grand piano, it strikes a perfect balance between musical performance and space-saving design, and has been a favorite of accomplished pianists for decades.
This vintage instrument was originally handcrafted in 1894, but it offers performance rivalling today’s new instruments. It features the many of the same design and performance elements of a new Steinway B, including an overstrung scale with front and rear duplexing, premium Steinway hand-wired wool felt hammers for impeccable tone and dynamic control (replaced in 2019), and the famous Steinway accelerated action. The satin finish is brand new, an ebonized finish carefully applied using time-tested traditional methods to replicate the original exterior. The ivory keys have been carefully preserved in excellent condition, providing a fantastic touch and dramatic appearance.
